HELP! XBOX 360 SYSTEM LINK CO OP NOT WORKING!

Can anybody help? Apparently I'm not the only one that has had this issue. There should be company support how to set it up. I have 2 xbox 360's system linked directly to one another (offline). Just bought another copy so I can play co op. Now I have 2 copies. The game is detecting the system link because the the options won't even come up without them being linked together. Trying to start a new game via sytem link. It says waiting for other player. When I go over to the other 360 its linked to and hit find game under available its says none. Am I doing something wrong? I have no trouble playing CRACKDOWN with system link. In crackdown it picks up the other user on my other 360. Getting frustrated as to why its not picking up the other 360 new game or previously saved game that I can't jump in on.. HEELLLPPP? P.S. also made sure co op settings were open for all and not invite or friends.

Are you sure the ethernet cord is plugged in right?

Absolutely, I tried the the 2 copies of CRACKDOWN before I tried these. Besides if its not plugged in the multiplayer or coop tells you you need a connection. The options for system link won't even come up if not plugged in. Tried plugging and unplugging several times and it does see connection. ???

thanks for help, start up both 36o's with their own copies of the game with no DLC and sign in each with their own user id's. I go to system link co op , hit start new game, then it loads and says waiting. Go to other 360 and hit co op system link and hit find game. Like I stated earlier the co op is set for open to all. Under available it says none and never seems to recognize the game started on the other 360. Even tried to load a previously saved game and jump in the with the other 360 using same procedure and again find game and under available it says none. For instance in CRACKDOWN when I do this and find game it recognizes the user id from the other 360. Have you played co op via system link with 2 360's and 2 copies of the game? Maybe you can tell me what you do. Did a patch somewhere along the line fix this?
