Barnstorming Unlockables

So Barnstorming is useless on PC, eh? What if we tie some unlocks to it that aren't in the regular game!

5 new unlockables were created and added as the last table entries in unlockables.xtbl.

unlock_water gives unlimited fire extinguisher ammo

unlock_flamethrower gives unlimited flamethrower ammo

unlock_minigun gives unlimited minigun ammo

unlock_launcher gives unlimited rocket ammo

unlock_thrown gives unlimited thrown ammo

barnstorming.xtbl was edited to call these new unlockables at 5, 10, 20, 30, 34, and all aerial stunts complete. Any number of additional unlocks can be added to barnstorming this same way at different thresholds of number of stunts completed, and you can use them to also call any of the current unlocks in unlockables.xtbl.

NOTE: unlock_water was called twice at 5 and 34 just in case someone has already done a few of the barnstorms so they don't miss out.



Next up is to just figure out how to do the same with tagging. Once that last piece is figured out, I'll be integrating it into my New Game Remix mod that is intended to be used for a brand new game and changes all the unlocking around as well as some other neat things like new locations for cd collectibles (and better rewards for them too,) delayed release of the more powerful new weapons, small sections of the city left in gang control post game so you can still fight the brotherhood, samedi, and ronin after you beat the game, and also new pricing on everything from the We Have It mod. It is a massive endeavor already, and I can't wait to get it finished and share it here. :D

I have a request. Could you make the Pimp Slap as a unlockable after finishing Snatch or Ho-ing diversions?

I will be waiting for the New Game Remix mod! It will be too damn amazing! ;)

You'll be glad to hear that the Pimp Slap is already there as an unlockable in the massive new game remix spreadsheet I'm building to replace everything. Almost everything is changing with where stuff unlocks, as well as a bunch of new unlocks added. I'm also changing most of the unlock messages as well. :D

There are two final pieces that I need to figure out before I get started on building it. The first is getting unlocks to work with tagging. Right now, the only thing I can do is trigger an unlock after each tag, and not at thresholds like with barnstorming. The second piece is getting an onscreen display of the player's xyz while I test so that I can start moving the CDs and tag locations. If I can't see the coordinates onscreen while testing, it would be a nightmare to try and move them manually, just by eye.

That's what I've been looking at. The .lua files still have plenty of debug lines commented out that should show up. Stuff like:
print_debug(variable)

When I uncomment though, I get nothing onscreen. I think that the all the debug info is being outputted to a console that we can't see. I was trying to figure out how we might reenable a console, but hit a dead end. I was also thinking there might be a way to change where the text is being output. Maybe redirect it to the screen instead of console, but I need to do more testing.

Also, I think the variable we're looking for to output is local_player_nav from what I've found in one of the lua wrote:

Barnstorming is flying a plane or helicopter through a narrow gap, like under a bridge or between buildings. There are 35 predefined Barnstorming stunt locations in the game. In the original Xbox360 game, doing these stunt gave you an achievement. In the PC version, you get nothing at all for doing them. I modified the xtbl files so that it would give you different types of unlimited ammo for doing the stunts, since these types were never including in the game.

The xtbl files that I posted are source files that you would include in your modified folder and then build the patch with gibbed modding tools. I would suggest reading through the stickied post on how to mod:

If you are still having trouble understanding, here is a chat log where I taught my friend step by step how to use the tools:

If you don't want to mess with the tools and compiling, I have created a precompiled mod that includes the barnstorming unlockables and all of the current mods by myself and the other modders here. All you would need to do is backup and replace a few files:

Totally diferent question from this matter, Idol... i putted the files of Red Rage (sry if the nick is wrong, im "fresh" here XD ) to get access to ronin jacket but it don't work :S

I go to On the Rag but i don't nothing :S
PS: He has 3 links
-Standard version (untouched version i think)
-Modders version (the modded version )
-Cumulative unlock/restore plus Ronin Jackets (what the hell is this one?:P It is down link :S)
