After an overwhelming amount of positive feedback and rejoicing among testers, Rafael and I are both proud to announce the public beta release of SR2 Powertools rev 5 which contains the Windows 7 speedfix, and modding utilities like the CTS coordinate utiltity and debugging tools:
saintsrowpowertools.com/ In addition, I've relaunched my website for updates and information on SR2 modding and game dev:
idolninja.com NOTE: SR2 Powertools is Vista and WIndows 7 compatible onyl. XP Compatibility is a planned future feature.
Older post info for historical purposes: ------------------------------------------------------------------- Make sure to click the link here to get the full sized pic to see details! finalack.com/Idol/album/main.php?cmd=ima...This utility is being developed by Rafael Rivera (the fine gentlemen who coded the RFG Win7 speedup fix and is working on the SR2 speedup fix.) It displays your character's xyz coordinates in real time while playing so you can move to a location to grab coords for setting up spawn points, races, lightcones, missions, you name it! An alpha build is currently functional and a beta will be coming soon for all modders to try out! More info about this and other SR2 modding tools coming soon!

Definitely looking forward to having the ability to create story missions myself. This would greatly increase the amount of replayability in the game while giving the communityt he ability to express their creativity. Win - Win. Lets hope Saints Row 3 supports this out of the box.

My god man thats awesome. I'll be wanting to make something like a new fight club. I worked on it as you could see in my fight club button mash mod but hit a lazy dead end because i had to guess where to put stuff. :P

Rafael was able to get debug messages printing to screen, and we're also now able to pass it lua commands via console. Right click and view image to see the readable text outpute in the top left (the forum resizes them down when displayed.)

I've already spoken directly with most of the established modders still posting here about trying out an alpha build of the current tools. If you've released mods here and are using Vista or Win7, let me know and I'll get you the info. Luke, I've been meaning to talk to you online about it but haven't seen you on Steam the last couple of days. Let me know via PM if you are on Vista/Win7 and I'll get you the details. Also, an XP compat build is coming shortly for all the modders still stuck in the dark ages using a ten year old archaic operating system... which, as it turns out, happens to be most of you.
