Slimmer Desert Eagles

I vaguely remember someone requesting this a while back, or talking about it.  Or maybe I dreamed it.  Anyway, this mod replaces the default chunky desert eagle with a slimmer mesh.



The changes are all mesh-based, so it will work seamlessly with any mods you may already have installed.

Also, that's the same mesh name. How exactly are you working with meshes now? There are a few meshes that don't look right while dual wielding since the left hand gun is off, that I would love to fix. For example, the gold deagle and the alt T3K silver and black version. Also, Sam's wooden bat seems to do odd animations when swung and the player's left arm either disappears or bends wierdly behind your back.

I believe some of the meshes are connected to the animation set your character is using. It seemed wierd for my character to be holding most of the 2-handed weapons behind her back with that awkward position you are talking about. And this is with just the regular in-game weapons (not the modded ones - haven't really used the modded weapons due to the overuse of satchel charges )



Note: I'm using GFL1 animations not the standard GML1 set.



Correction: GFL1 works fine though when I used to use PFL1 it does do that weird contortionist weapon handling. Maybe finding the corresponding animation  wrote:

Aye, hex editor it is, Sammy.  Lost count of the amount of times the game has crashed though when trying to fix things!  The mesh for this one is actually the gold one recoloured.



Idol, I'll have a look at fixing those meshes.  Any more you can think of that need doing?



Brand Newb, the setting for the 1 handed/2 handed weapon is set in the mesh, which is why you get the weird hand bending thing when you change to a conflicting animation set.  It's fixable though, and can make some great, unrealistic and blatantly overpowered dual wielding setups:

Its position in the hand is messed up, and that gun was FUCK AWESOME IN SR1. If you get it working, i can finally release my sr1 weapons patch, with mostly all the credit going to you

Any particular hex editor are you using? Or any hex editor will do?
