I did when I spent £4,000 on a top of the range i7 with latest Radeon card, and SR2 runs jittery on that, I was badly dissapointed! If the jitter wasn't there, it'd be perfect. No point lying, you probably will have issues, especially with Win 7. I've knocked back to XP to stop the fast forward bug.
The GoTR mod is worth the trouble alone, though! Go for it!
Get vista! I have 4gb ram with 2.5ghz and it ran jittery on xp. I got vista and now i can run high with no problems :D
Modder of Saint's Row 2 for two years.

Please don't say things like that, Sam. That's like telling people to get herpes.

Vista is a bag of sh*t, I know, I wasted £130 on it, it's as bad as ME was in my opinion, and probably as bad as herpes (I WOULDN'T know about that!) Games actually run better on 7, and I've got a ton of old 'uns installed. The exception to that is Saints Row 2, of course, if it wasn't for the fast forward thing.

I was looking over some of the bug reports and realized that certain sticky parts issues were fixed after disabling non-working options. The Wolverine's sticky pearlescent teal paint issue was fixed after disabling nitrous, hydraulics, and wheels. The Hurricane sticky tail options were fixed after disabling the "fins" option that didn't look like it was doing anything.
Then I realized that the vehicles are exhibiting the exact same behavior that clothing does when you have an outfit or item that is incompatible with another. For example, if you create an outfit and high riding pants, and add a shirt to it that is the tucked low mesh, then it will work (not crash,) but certain clothing will "stick" when moving between outfits.
So, I think there is probably a bad/incompatible option we have enabled that is causing the remainder of the sticky parts issues. The trick is to figure out which option is breaking it.

I was talking with Jus Call Me J on Steam, and he mentioned that the Quasar and Mag don't have a hydraulics option. I took a look in their _veh files, and they are both hydraulics enabled. Looking in the cvtf though, they were not built with hydraulics as an option. I thought we might be able to lift the hydraulics data from a different car's cvtf and insert it in to the Mag/Quasar, but it looks like there isn't enough space in the cvtf to do so.
Red, have you had any luck extending the space in a cvtf? Usually if you insert blank space into a binary file it just screws it up, so you have to work with the blank space you have. I hope eventually we'll get a cvtf editing tool to make this easier.
EDIT:
Also, is there any way to make those huge exhaust pipes on Maero's Atlasbreaker a customizable buyable option at the mechanic?

Not yet, but then again I haven't been trying. Been neglecting SR2 recently! I'll update once I've looked into it.
