Septic Avenger voice sample musings

I wonder if there is a way to insert some kind of delay between npc voice samples in Septic Avenger so that Javier/Mime doesn't say the SAME DAMN THING over and over and over with not even a pause to take a breath. Something like a 15 sec delay might be a good start.



Anyways, just musing on it. If anyone wants to give it a shot, feel free.

Are the sound files in a format we can edit, and if so, could you not just insert ~10/15 seconds of silence at the end of them?

The sound are in a proprietary flavor of xwb (xbox wave bank) format. The only tool that will unextract them at all is unxwb and that does a piss awful job of it with only some of the extractions playable, and most of them cut off audio at the end. Also, we have no tools available to repack them even if we could. Having the tools to work with sound (and also textures too) would our make our lives a lot easier.

Well, I can't really think of a name to call it, so I'l just call it Septic Avenger Silencer.  The Suburbs activity uses a different method to call the voice samples, so that one might be too quiet now.  It's almost bed time though so I'll post what I've got and work on it some more later.
