Hopefully not everyone will be selfish and smug about this and actually pitch in with some practical tips...

TBH, I'm losing interest in the PC version because my laptop which is a fuckin BEAST BTW can't run it smoothly which is breaking the game for me. I've done lvl 6 Heli Assault several times, and as for Trail Blazin? Well I've smashed that without breaking a sweat. Now I can't even get past lvl 4 or 5 can't remember now...

Maybe I'll enjoy it when I have bought that computer off of "War Games" and can play it smoothly...

In the mean time when I play, I will of course help you as much as I can by looking out for CDs and reporting back mate

Thanks, J, I really appreciate the support!

On another note: We're halfway there. I found #25. It is another one in Athos Bay. I posted the vid, screenshot, and directions to it. Once we hit 40 CDs I am going to revamp the entire first post and organize all of them by geographical area. When we get to 50, I will create a Photoshopped map of all 50.

If I may make a suggestion...

You may want to consider linking to the youtube videos instead of loading them all in-line within the first post.  It's creating awfully long load times.  You can easily create a YouTube playlist and link directly to that with all of the individual videos.

Ah, ok. I kind of like having the videos next to the screenshots and walkthrough for each individual CD, but I don't want to cause any bandwidth issues on the site, nor do I want to have people encounter deifficulty playing the videos as that would defeat the purposes. I am running cable modem, so I never have load time difficulty with embedded videos.

Anyone else having this issue with playing my videos? Don't count #25 and 26, though, because Youtube is still processing those.

It's not actually our bandwidth you're using, it's YouTube's since you are hotlinking directly from them inline, so don't worry about that.  If it was our bandwidth, I'd have put a stop to it already =P

Trying to load up 20+ videos, plus 25+ large resolution images is a quick way to make load times go up.  That's why my suggestion is just to create a YouTube playlist, then link the one specific video along with the option of continuous playback through each video.  You can easily put text links as well to the individaul videos for those that want to see them.

One final suggestion since I've actually taken a good look at this thread now.  For the main images for each CD, may I recommend a half/half shot of a blown up map on one side, and the actual picture you already have on the other.  I know it's more work, but it's useful for those people that don't know their way around the map.

Anyway, just suggestions to try to make this more accessable to those attempting to look at this guide.  Great job on it so far though - it's super helpful!

Thanks, Singular!

lol Wouldn't the two pics (half and half) actually increase the load times?

Okay, I will give that a shot once we have found more.

Oh, by the way, we now have 27 CD's.

28. Morning Woods Cemetary - Or more specifically, UNDER the cemetary in the sewer. Okay, love the GotR mod, but to be quite honest, I don't know what the guys were thinking on this one. This location is a little on the absurd side.

29.  This is another strangely placed CD that I don't quite get.

Maybe you should just stick with the facts instead of complaining about the mod and what we did. You've made it extremely clear to everyone how you don't like these changed locations, but you're the one who has taken it upon yourself to do all this.

Do you have any idea how much work that was to try and give fans something new to do? One more nasty comment and I'm going to find 50 new locations for the final release of 1.9. Don't think I won't do it.

You know what? Not for anything, but those were not nasty comments. They were the result of frustration with what I perceive to be poorly placed CD's. Not to mention that if you want comments and feedback for your work, then you should consider accepting what I said in the same spirit you embrace all of the positive feedback and other comments you have been getting some of which I have made as a beta tester. I made sure to make it abundantly clear that I love the mod package itself, but that I had an issue with that particular location as well as the next one. I said nothing wrong or ontoward, but gave a legitimate feedback within the context of my walkthrough. What more do you want from me? You think Rockstar gets pissed off and writes threatening, scathing responses to the negative points that pro reviewers make in their reviews or that Bradyguide writers notate? While I am not a pro-reviewer or gaming guide writer and you are not a pro-developer yet, perhaps you should start now in taking things a little more in the spirit of which they are meant.

One more thing: It's your mod, Ninja. Do whatever you like in the final version. It is literally of no consequence to me. I am perfectl;y content to just use the version I have or play the vanilla game if need be. Don't, for one second, think you can intimidate me with the threat of moving the CD's in the next iteration of the mod. Knock yourself out. <shrug>

Oh, and for anyone who cares, I am up to 30.
