I am one of them people who love old games, since being a kid I have been playing games and they are a big part of my life. I am just wondering how many of you think that you will revisit the city of stillwater. I know that I will as I keep playing saints row 2, to this day even with the new game comeing out I think I will take a trip down memory lane and go thorugh the whole set of games a couple of times. I am just wondering what you think.

I'd love to play Saints Row 1 again but thanks to Volition pulling out of the X360 port that was originally going to be on the PS2 anyway it's not on PS3 -_-

That said, I'm still going to play SR2 partly because of Stilwater, partly because of the story but mostly because of the epic cutscenes and the fact the gameplays diferent to SRTT. SRTT may be better in terms of robustness but I LOVE the crazy arse ragdoll effects... it's hilarious on its own xD

Don't get me wrong SRTT looks AWESOME, but I'm not sure about the engine side of things... yeh, you'd have to be blind to not see the OTT **** that happens but in terms of the engine itself, I'm on the fence until it comes out. It looks too robust if that makes sense?

Ironically, I hated SR1 when I first got it because of the engine was out of date even back then but the SR2 engine was more refined and fitted snuggly into the humor side of throwing someone in front of a train and seeing their legs wrap around their necks in a wacky rag-doll style, it changed my life. lol

Please don't hate on me because I can't wait for SRTT, I'm just saying SR2's engine appeals to me more from what I've seen which is purely preference but that may change, I haven't played SRTT yet =)

but yeh, I'll definately play SR2 again, but still miss SR1 =(

Why would anyone hate you for personal preferance actualy I admire it, you came across a lot better then most people done when they loved saints row 2 over saints row the third. A example I see describeing this is when a lot of people like COD Moden warfair over b-ops. Its the same kinda game but people just like one over the other and it might be for no perticular reason then just personal referance.

With SR1 it is a shame that it was not relased after as maby a Download for the PSN since they had number 2 given I think it should have let people play SR1 in case they never played it. It could even happen now but I dout it will I mean they got crisis now on games on demand for both the PSN and the xbox and that was a pc title why not SR1.

Oh I could never stop playing SR2! I love it. I never played the first one, and was completely hooked on the second one. I first played it expecting it to be some crappy game and me and my friend were laughing at the graphical glitches we would run across, but it proved to be really really fun. There's a lot to it and yet it doesn't take itself too seriously, I like that. And I got really attached to my troll of a character, there's something great about rampaging with such a weak-looking character.

I remember getting SR1 for the first time for $19 a few years back and i never imagined of this game becoming one of my favorites and SR2 was released soon after and i bought that too. I do still play SR2 whenever i have time.

I haven't been around the forums long but I'm guessing (hoping really) that there's a bug being passed around making everyone very angry, negative and basically very ignorant to most peoples posts, let alone views. People can't use cheats without getting crap thrown at them, users can't criticize anything without being moaned at and the forums are just abit gloomy at the moment with the constant bitching so I guess I was covering my arse against any haters waiting to pounce Tongue Out lol

If it weren't for X360's RRoDing on me all the time, I certainly would have found myself playing SR1 a heck of a lot more, but...  having been hooking up my wired controller to the PC, and playing SR2 through Steam, I have a large enough hard drive that I can play both SR2 and SRTT both out of the same box.  So I'm not worried about playing both games back and forth.  It'll certainly open up anything from the old storyline that I may need a refresher on.

I'm actually having more fun with the free digital copy of SR2 than I had with SR3.

It's been so long since i've played it, and even then it was just rented a few times, but damn it's even more impressive after coming from SR3.. some things are improved upon in SR3 but there are actually more "un-improvements" than there aren't. You can really see just how rediculously lazy SR3 was in comparison too, almost everything was lifted directly out of SR2.

Aside from getting used to the controls again, and taking a slight hit in graphics and animations, SR2 is by far the superior game. Surprizingly it even looks better than SR3 in some aspects, and actually has a large living world worth exploring and messing around in.

I just finished playing it for 6hrs straight and didn't even realize lol, completely lost track of time. So i'm pretty sure i'll be still playing this one long after i've traded in SR3 (which I plan to do this week if I ever get around to getting the last 2 trophies).
