Question about SR2 downloaded game to hdd from...

After putting in the saints row 3 online pass it allowed ps3 owners to claim saints row 2 for free to downloaded on the psn marketplace.
is there anyway to downloaded the updates for it cuz it should automatically do it when booted, but it doesnt. i mean the official patches from psn network.

I've been trying to figure that out for days..thats why I even registered here. I wish someone that knew why this is, would say something lol psn or volition fail?
