The layout itself will be relatively the same, but a few things might be located in a different area than you are used to on the current forum. [list] []- Quick Reply* - There will be a comment entry box at the bottom of every thread. Also, once you reply, there is no secondary screen asking you where you want to go before it goes back to the main thread. [/:m] []- Universal Login - Many other THQ games/communities are already using this same platform, and by merging SR into the rest, all of you now have instant access to all other THQ communities, such as Red Faction, Darksiders (just released!), UFC (2010 out May 25th), Metro 2033 (coming soon!), and more! [/:m] []- (Embed the part of the URL shown after "watch=") that will show up in the forum and play back accordingly, and you can also add in Spoiler: Show which will color the background and foreground the same color, so it only shows when you highlight the text. [/:m] []- New Smilies - I'll be asking all of you for your input on some new smilies to use in the forums, so start gathering them together. Those that are themed to fit the SR community are appreciated. [/:m] []- Avatars - Avatars will now have a 40kb size limit instead of 20kb. Signature rules will remain the same. [/:m] []- Badges (Coming Soon) - In addition to avatars, users will now have a chance to obtain Badges, or small icons in their profile box available for all to see. Each badge represents something, such as post count, completing a quest (see below), doing something generally awesome for the community-at-large, etc. [/:m] []- Quests (Coming Soon) - These will be coming later and will be created tasks within the community website specifically made for users to earn badges, points, or various other perks. [/:m] []- Points (Coming Soon) - Users will be able to earn points for various aspects such as completing quests, inviting friends, or other items. [/*:m][/list:u] There's a few other small things here and there that you will notice, and obviously we'll want your feedback once moved over to get it running as well as possible and get the kinks worked out.
