Background: Chloe Price grew up in California where she never had a proper home. She grew up on the streets where she managed to get by on her own along with some help from other kids without families or homes. They eventually started to form their own small crew without even realizing it. Along with this, she also got into drugs. At the age of 14,(she was mature for her age) she and the gang were finally arrested after setting a local drug store on fire after holding up the store at gunpoint and not succeeding in getting the drugs from the clerk.
After 2 years of being locked up, a couple in their early 40s (Jack and Mary Price) ends up adopting Chloe in order to provide her with a better and changed life (they also couldn’t have children at their age so they had no choice but to adopt and they believed in making people’s lives better so they decided to pick a child with past troubles). Since Chloe never knew her real parents and has always been independent (she would never even accept help from the other neighborhood adults when she was on the streets), she was harsh with her new “parents”. But, as time passed along she grew quite fond of them and began to slowly go off drugs (but she stills does them under certain circumstances). She even started to go to school. She now has a somewhat proper education and with that and her street-smarts, she always finds a way to handle things.
