So, I've noticed lately that when users like myself go to upload characters they had created, or change some things with characters within their "My Steelport" section - going right back to that section changes it to the undergoing maintenance page. And, like today & for the majority of the day, that section has been "blacked out" and unusable, again in the maintenance mode, where it is completely inaccessible.
I'm only assuming this is most likely a flaw in their server system, but it can become quite annoying. I'm hoping that this issue will be fixed soon - but then again, it doesn't seem like it's something Volition is to concerned about, unfortunately. Being this is the biggest part of the game, you'd think they would do something about it. But that's it, you'd think they would.
Typically, logging out, closing the page & then logging back in a few minutes later I found is a quick fix for this issue. But, for the majority of today (7/8/2012), this was not able to help the issue. I'm kinda upset by this, as I have a thread where I make characters per users request. I was going to finish the few that I said I were to finish by Monday, but I was unable to access that section, unfortunately.
I don't know if this is just me - I'm pretty sure it's not. Most users may not even be aware of the quick fix I had mentioned above - which does work, mind you - typically, anyway. Please, let me know otherwise, if other users are having this same issue, or not. I'm pretty sure it's a Volition issue, but I want to see if I can find a better "fix" for it, or not. But being I've tried several things today, I doubt a "simple fix" is what is going to resolve this issue...

No, it isn't just you.
As it stands now, they usually have it fixed within hours. I wish a modder would create a tool that allowed me to save my character to some kind of template on my pc so I wouldn't need to worry about the My Steelport section going up and down. I'm thinking I'll probably just write down the number next to every slider in the game, that way if there comes a time when My Steelport just isn't supported anymore, I'll still be able to at least re-create my character.

I was kinda hoping it was just me, so I can get really mad and punch someone in the face for not allowing me to upload my characters. They should really have a way where you can just upload a character straight to your "my queue" section right from the game/initiation station - instead of creating a character, logging on the site, renaming, adding tags, make public & all that non-sense. Or, they could just make a program for your pc that allows you to make characters for any & all of the consoles - that would make lives easier. Well, and of course a way to not have to rely on this cruddy excuse for a webpage. Anyway, it's still not allowing me to access the "My Steelport" section of this site. This has to be the longest that I've not been able to access it. It usually goes away after a few hours - but, not things are just becoming a bit too rediculous. C'mon volition, you already moved this thread to the "correct" section - you obviously read it. Why not work on this issue here!! ;x Enjoy!!
