Whilst reading the latest issue of OXM I noticed this small paragraph..
ASSASSIN'S CREED III HERO REVEALED "Look away now if you haven't finished Assassin's Creed II. Ubisoft has a third game coming, but without a new setting or hero: it's still starring Ezio and will be a followup to AC2. It'll be out quickly, too - before March 2011. Here for Christmas, we reckon."

I loved Assassin's Creed II. I just don't hope it's gonna be a rushed "meh" game.

I loved Assassin's Creed II. They really improved on the last game. I just don't hope it's gonna be a rushed "meh" game.[/quote] It better not be..
They better not just make the same game with different missions etc. cos that will be crap..

That will more than likely be the case. Assassin's Creed II has been in stores for only three months and Ubisoft have already started promoting a follow-up.
I get the feeling that Ubisoft will do to Assassin's Creed what Valve did to Left 4 Dead.

I personally found Left 4 Dead 2 to be surprisingly good. I also belive that this is way too early for a proper sequel. They better just not half-ass anything, since I'm also a fan of the story (I seriously wanted to play AC 1 again after completeting the second game).

I wonder if it will concentrate more on Desmund (whatever his name is) and doing assasination misions with him.
Also, why do people hate on L4D2? Just cause it was released quickly?

Assassins Creed 2: The sequel is set to be in rome this time, and will cover the blank memory chapters from AC2.
Rome in AC2, looks like it's already been complete, but ezio couldn't venture off and explore, instead he had to fight down a linear path to reach the pope, and then later-on *SPOILERS* An alien tells him he isn't worth shit and was only a pawn, and that it knows who desmond miles is, and then it tells Ezio desmond is the only one who can save the world from destruction.
Many people are already *hinting at* that the intro will start off with ezio having to escape romes miltia forces after a murder attempt on the popes life. Also it's been *hinted* that Ezio will be hunting down the rest of the templars in rome. and may have a clue that points towards AC3.
I hope this means AC3 will be setup in future london, or wherever it is that desmond and the modern day assassins are, having them fighting abstergo in a GTA metropolis with parkour and assassins creed 1/2 moves to use in freeroaming the city.
But if they go overboard with it and add in having to fight aliens and raiding tombs then i'll give it a pass.
See that huge hole in the ground, that's my expectation for Saints Row4.
