APB came across as something different in trailers and concept than the actual gameplay. The trailers, story, interviews and general concept of the game made it appear like an online Saints Row, with the option to be a cop. Notice, I said SR, not SR2. There was nothing over the top, it was more serious. Think of what SR2 would have been, if they kept a more serious tone like the first one, but added the customization of the second. They made it seem like you could create gangs, and customize your character and that there would be numerous options of crimes to commit.
The actual game was far less. You can't really customize the outfits all that much, initially, because there was a weird system for buying clothes and tattoos. Now, if you're ranked up and/or had enough points/$$$, then you could have whatever you wanted. As for gameplay, it was cops and robbers. Sure, there were many types of crimes, but it all ended with being chased by police. Breaking and entering, stealing stuff, moving items, hunting people, etc. all ended in just a third person shootout.
This was unbalanced and glitchy also. And essentially, it was better to be a cop, it meant you would just win easier. There's more to it than that, but essentially the perks were infavor of the "cops".
So, again, to anyone who hasn't played APB but wants to know: all it really was, in the most basic sense of gameplay, was Saints Row with a smaller map. And instead of Stilwater police chasing you, imagine that the gangs were also police (in terms of appearance)..
It was a good game in concept and looked awesome. However, I think it should have focused on consoles, and could have been beta tested longer.

Why did I stay up late last night ? Im sure feeling it now. Was playing SA last night, and was starting to get back in to the swing of things.

APB was alright, if you played it with friends then it was a laugh but yeah, it was repetetive in terms of gameplay.
The new version sucks though, everyone is buying powerful weapons through micro-transactions and all other weapons are temporary. This game is turning in to Battlefield Heroes.

Has anyone seen the new SR:TT CG trailer? It showcases potential items in the game, but also it's downright awesome.
Don't view the video on YouTube, as they are all of poor quality. Go to IGN, I recommend it.
