I feel like a lot of people are overly critical about the game, but at the same time, there are some fixes that could be made to this game. Or added to SR4 at the very least. Spoilers.
-Replaying levels, missions and custscenes. If you like a level or a mission or just a custscene and have to replay the whole game just to see it/play it, that's not cool. It wouldn't be hard for Volition to add another tab in your crib menu for doing that. Also, sometimes you want to replay a mission with more money, better guns, or just other unlockables.
-Swords (a bunch of people asked for it, and even in the armor DLC, they have to give the samurai the Deckers sword, because the game is so lacking in sword types)..If that's already intended for future DLC, it'd be great to know it. Especially since the DLC is built into the game. Why do we have to wait to find out what's inside?
-A filter for those using cheats and those who aren't. It's kind of dumb to be playing and to keep getting interrupted by players who you have to kick anyway.
-They probably can't layer clothing in SRTT, but for SR4, bring that back. People like to mix and match, I mean that's the whole point, isn't it?
-The city is mostly unable to be interacted with. If you put a bomb in a store it doesn't knock anything over or do much of anything. All you can really do in this are destroy people and cars. SR2, at least you could knock tables and chairs over and certain items would disapear to give the illusion that they were destroyed. There are very few, if any, items that you can randomly pick up.
-Details. SR1 had birds in the sky, SR2 had fish and other small things. SR:TT has literally no life outside of the people. One could argue it's because of the pollution and heavy smog, but it'd be a nice detail for SR4. Obviously, not a big deal.
-We have water and a shark model that can eat characters. Why is there no sharks in the water for the egde of Steelport? The DLC gun would have a lot more and better context if that was a thing that happened to players, because then you'd just be controlling the sharks.
-DLC. Gat dying didn't matter. The fact that only Shaundi seemed to care is what was so devastating to a lot of people. A nice DLC, would be "Gat's story", where players could play Gat's mission of fighting off the Morning Star, flying the plane and then a boss fight where he'd make the sacrifice for Boss/MC. A nice write off where he dies like a popular character. (I thought Volition were fans of stuff too, which one of them thought an off screen death was cool....did they not see Cyclops in X-men 3 and see how fans felt about that?)
-Food as a healing option and customizing cribs wasn't just a small detail, it gave you a lot of things to do in the city. It made it feel more lively. So there actually feels like less to do regarding the character. It'd be nice if SR4 allows you to customize cribs again. And not the outside of the building, alone, but the inside too.
