The Word "****"

I didn't notice that the word was star'd out, for the people who do not know what I'm talking about, I'm talking about the "n" word, mainly the version that ends with a, but also once the racist version.

This word has really begun to bother me lately just because of how much I've been hearing it been used lately. I hear white and black people using it all the time. I have a little story about this word that happened to me earlier today.

This black kid kept on calling me ****, because he was mad at me, litterally everyone of his grammical error filled sentences ended with the word ****. I looked at him and straight up just said this, "Stop calling me ****, that's not my name." He started freaking out about me using the word **** and started saying someone would punch me in the face if I kept on saying the word.

I figured that the reason he didn't want me saying the word is because I'm white. I started giggling at the end of this experience, because I thought to myself that if one of his friends that were white said ****, he would probably be fine with it even if it was calling him ****, because it's his friend, not just some random person. So I find this funny that all black people can say it and only some white people can say it. In reality though I think nobody should be using the word. I don't care if you say it's not the same as the word "****", it's still pretty damn close and makes you sound like a moron when talking.

Tell me what your opinions of this word being used by black and white people are and/or if you want, you can tell a experience you have had with this word with other people. And to get this out of the way now, I'm not at all rasist or prejudice. I believe in equal rights among all races and sexes. Do not troll this post for me posting it, I'm just looking for people's opinions and experiences with this word. Most online gamers have experience with this word, because a lot of people online say **** every other word.

I think the important thing to remember is that context is everything. In the experience you mentioned, that guy seemed like a jerk. But I am for freedom of speech. Saying a word is off limits for one race is ridiculous (and racist), but to say it should be off limits for all races is flat out wrong. People shouldn't have a particular word banned from their vernacular. Some people use **** in a playful way, others use it to get under your skin. The thing that you must remember is that context is everything. Without context, words are meaningless. If someone just says **** randomly, it shouldn't matter to anyone. Now if someone insults another person by calling them ****, well that's different because the context is different.

The way you used **** in that experience is perfectly fine, because you were not insulting anyone. But even if you were insulting someone, no one should try to censor you, because free speech is having the freedom to say whatever you want, no matter how offensive it may be to some. The thing you have to understand is that someone will ALWAYS be offended by what you and others say. They have every right to be offended and voice their feelings, but they have no right to try and censor you.

I agree that people that constantly use the word **** sound moronic, but people need to stop attempting to censor others. There shouldn't be any limits to speech, just like there shouldn't be any limits to comedy. A better way to explain my position on "offensive words" would be that I recommend you look up a Louis CK or George Carlin video on Youtube on this very word. They explain my feelings on "offensive words" perfectly.
