Well you also could've gotten the code from buying the double pack of Saints Row 1 & 2. But I see your point otherwise.

And if I dont own a console and already own SR2 on Steam, then what? I can live with it but it's kinda annoying.

So its not entirely for buying a completely different game. Just for fans who like Red Faction, and fans who are loyal enough to buy both Saints Rows again, like me ;)

It was likely a decision made by THQ and not Volition. Business is shady sometimes.

You're already getting the Professor Genki pack. Adding the Initiation Station's early access to Red Faction is a smart move since it could influence some to purchase it for that aspect alone. I've seen this happen with other titles, namely Halo.

I've been shafted by stores getting limited pre-order bonuses, despite ordering it months upon months before release. Everyone is getting the Initiation Station eventually. It's completely pointless to complain about something like this when there's no real loss involved. Hell, I didn't get the new Red Faction and I'm not mad about it.
