I will never understand why people feel compelled to sit there and judge others with elitist perspectives, especially over games. There is absolutly nothing wrong with cheats, so long as you are not messing up someone else's game. But that being said this is one of the risks you run when you leave yourself open to playing with random people. You can't sit there and expect some guy you don't know to play by the rules that you think are fair just because you say so, friends can do that sort of thing, because you're friends. And typically share the same views, at least some. And even deeper still, for the ones who decree that this and that should not be in the game because you don't agree with it. That's just selfish.
Do I cheat?, yes. But when I cheat, I'm either by myself or if my friends are involved we're all doing it and epic fun times have been had for all.
And if you don't want to deal with the BS that random people will bring, play with your friends.

Why in earth do you have problem with people useing so called cheats? What has that got to do with you? It is a matter of taste, people are looking for diffrent things in a game. Me personally, want to just have fun, like enjoying the story, being a bad ass, cause mayham and son on, without worry about some bullets. If Iám looking for a challange in life I do it some where else, where I have more use to it, in a game I dont get anything for complete a challange, it is not like I can have it on my resume. So for me challange in games are just irritating and take the focus of the fun. Beside, if we are talking about single play, there are no cheats, there are just diffrent ways to play the game on. PS: It kind of sucks that the devolpers are trying to punshing people for useing "cheats", let players play the game as they want.

So, I ended up joining someone online who had cheats. I got on with my Auto-Save. Does this mean that all of my save files are flagged, or can I load up one of my manual saves and be able to get the last trophy?

Using cheats is fun, I can understand why someone would want free roam and just have at it from time to time. The one that turns all the peds into zombies is one of my favorites. Vehicle "Mass Hole" and "Insurance Fraud" ragdoll physics is also a blast.
Saving the game with cheats activated however, is kind of silly with this type of game because there are so many upgrades and unlocks in the vanilla game alone that make your character powerful enough that you are practically cheating (minus the disabling of achievements/trophies).
The only way to maintain a semblance of challenge is to play on hardcore difficulty and avoid getting the majority of the "top tier" level 4 upgrades that allow for "infinite" ammo/clip/sprint and zero bullets/fire/fall/explosion damage. If you don't want the game to be that difficult, pick an easier difficulty level and purchase one or more of the top tier upgrades. You still have the "cheat like" power but are also in a good position to get all of the Achievements/Trophies in the game. If you want some of the better vehicles from the start of the game, buying one or more of the DLCs like the Unlockables Pack or the Special Ops Pack that will give you various high-end vehicles (Tank, VTOL, etc.) that you can access as soon as you get the cribs with the garage and/or heliport in the story line. These are "STAG" tier vehicles that you won't be able to acquire until mid to late game (When STAG appears in the story).
Even without the DLC, with some strategy you can get the Eagle attack helicopter from the SNG base and a Tank, Turreted Bulldog and a Bear ATV with a 5 star police wanted level. You can also get a good portion of the useful weapons with a 5-star wanted level from the gangs and/or police like the McManus Sniper, the Annihilator RPG and the K-8 Krukov.
In terms of money, you can get a crapload without cheating by barnstorming at the airport by the crashed plane at the end of the runway. If you do a sideways "knife edge" pass, it's about 10K per pass and about 6K for a standard pass though. It's of course MUCH easier to knife edge with a VTOL Jet Bike, so if you have the Ultor Jet Bike from the Money Shot Pack, the Specter from the Unlockables Pack and/or the Witch's Broom from the Witches and Wieners Pack you can make enough money from knife edging to upgrade all your weapons and vehicles and buy up all the shops and properties, right after mission 4.

Cheats are supposed to make games easier for those who don't like challenges. There are also those who don't have enough time on their hands to fully complete a game. I use cheats because I don't care about achievements and trophies nor do I care about keeping score or leaderboards. When I was younger and to this very day, I still don't like challenges. I also work full time and the only time I get to play is when I'm either off work or on days off. Believe it or not, cheats can and do make games fun... to some. If people want to cheat, let them and quit pestering them about it. You now have your answer.

Feel free to add me to play Co-Op. Just keep in mind, I use cheats. I'm also willing to turn them off and have a seperate save file without cheats.

Its not cool to use cheats on Saints Row: The Third. Ive beat the game without using cheats and i think that its much better to do without. Cheats takes the fun and action out of the game. I was mad that everytime I tried to play a co-op everyone i was matched with was a cheat user. So i had to create another saved game just so i can play online with fellow saints, and so that my other game wouldnt say cheats enabled and stops me from earning my trophies. Now my cheats enabled game says im using cheats but im really not. Btw this game is Awesome!!!! If you have a ps3 add me xLuccix
Hey I hate cheats very much the game is just no fun with them. Create new and join me on hardcore mode if you think you can handle it hehe I'm on playstation 3. If you want I can join you as well. I'll add you.

Because they're fun and some people like to acess all the weapons? And it's not like there are any cheats worst that the game already gives you... Like wtf... no bullets, fall and fire damage? I use cheats to get weapons (i don't even play online) but i NEVER upgrade that ****. I bet most people who are afraid to be called cheaters upgrade that... but it takes all the fun of the game and is way worse than using cheats
