The guy already came back as an zombie I know you have angry fanboys that want him back but lets be reasonable He's back anyway he's back as a zombie by bringing him back it would just screw up the canon of him being a zombie. So its better not bringing him back , Think about it You had lynn return as a zombie and carlos return as a zombie all both as homies, And i never got mad at Gat being killed It was unexpected but i didn't cry like a fanboy about it, But I'm sure Gat will be cloned or something but that part i don't mind just as long as it isn't the real johnny gat coming back. i also have the prima guide to the game and you had good reasons to kill off Gat so don't regret it. And if trouble with the clones is what i think it is. Then let they be Gat clones.

Actually the reason for killing him was bad. In writing classes they tell u not to kill off characters to force a point and not to end your story with "and it was all a dream". As many said Killing Gat caused many to dislike the writers and writing not the the Syndicate. Killing Gat could have worked if they did it later in the game, showed it well, and did it with the correct enemy leader. The real enemy of this game was Killbane and Cyrus not Loreen like the game made us believe.

As many said Killing Gat caused many to dislike the writers and writing not the the Syndicate. Killing Gat could have worked if they did it later in the game, showed it well, and did it with the correct enemy leader. The real enemy of this game was Killbane and Cyrus not Loreen like the game made us believe.
You can kill off as many characters as you want to force a point. In fact in writing killing a character is only ever done to force a point. It must be done correctly however. Still him being written off in a bad way is no reason to bring him back and not killing characters because people like them is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You see, this is not your story, it is not our story, it's Volitions story and they tell it. Killbane was a terrible antagonist. Seriously if I had to pick I'd rather get Gat back in some screwed up way than having to play against Killbane again. I agree on the "it's all a dream thing". That's just a dumb way of saying "I'm a bad writer". Still looking at what Volition did in SR1 and 2 I'm sure they have what it takes to create a good story. They just have to slap themselves in the face first and realise SR3 could have been a lot better.

I didn't mean force a death like something needed to move a story. I meant force like it was unnecessary they could have advanced the story with out killing anyone. And the zombie thing is not cannon except for Lin. Carlos' zombie wasn't mentioned. And considering how often u see Gat's face in the game(Mascots, bobbleheads,Gat mobile) proves he was the face of the game. U can't kill the posterboy but u can kill everyone else. I really like Kinze, Oleg, and Viola just as much as Gat but if one of them died it would be different(if done correctly) because they were not the face or faces of the game. Same goes with the other homies. Also their have been plenty of homies that weren't cannon, important, or they were just a joke like Chicken Ned, Troy(he is their friend but he wouldn't be seen doing what the others do),Will, and the Escort from SR1.

Maybe they killed off Gat because the guy who voiced him maybe didnt want to any more and they didnt want to have a new person voice him because he might not sound the same. Just a thought

that makes sence...
Personally I don't mind that they killed off Gat. I just don't like the way they did it. He desarved better then that... As for my thoughts on him being braught back; This isn't a Soap Opra. Bringing him back would just be cheesy. the only way they could justify Bringing him back is if they hired a D@MN GOOD WRITER, and he was like the End fight of the next game..... I mean He has a lot of reasons to hate the MC. He lost his Sister in the first game, Lost his Wife in the 2nd, then was left to die at the begining of the third... I would take that sh!t personal...

Lin is not his sister The MC had nothing to do with them(Lin and Aesha) dieing. They died because they were close to the saints.(Actually they were both Saints even though u never saw Eesh do anything.) And the reason they killed Gat was because the lead writer said "He is the most popular character and that is why we killed him". The voice actor actually didn't want him to die but the writers wanted him dead.
