Maybe they forgot that people never actually use homies all that much. In fact I have more homies listed in my phone than I call out.
- I've never called "Nyte Blade" or the actor.
- I called Space Brutina and Oleg once, but they always get angry with me and one hit kill me, so yeah, not calling them again.
- I like Jenny, but I dislike the fact that her hair disappears when she's on a bike or in a tank.
- I think I called Shaundi once, but had to kill her personally when she was pissing me off again.
- Never called Pierce. He's such a loser.
- Called Viola once or twice.
- Got the most use of Kinzie since her nerdy "I don't care" attitude is pretty funny.
- Never called Zimo's. Even though he's funny.
- Never called Zombie gat.
- The Genki bwol gives you 4 new homies. I only ever called the genki girls. What is up with the reporter woman. Why get her as a homie??

I don't even see where you could use them in the dlc, most of those missions are track shooters and in some your phone isn't even available. Most of the really great stuff about this game doesn't unlock until you've almost beat it. There should be an option to start a new game with all upgrades. I know that sounds cheap and boring but remember many missions limit your available weapons and vehicles anyway so it could work. And it looks like that's the only way to get any mission replay.

The point is that you can use them when you start a new game. The DLC missions are available right off the bat, and you can use the homies from the start if you go ahead and play then.

I'm really disappointed with the zombie homies of the last 2 games, Carlos and Gat just run around and punch people. Zombie Lin would shamble around until she got hungry, then chase people, rip her own arm off and beat them with it and then eat them. That's how a zombie should act lol

The point is that you can use them when you start a new game. The DLC missions are available right off the bat, and you can use the homies from the start if you go ahead and play then.
I've tried starting a new game, but none of the DLC missions or homies are available. Same profile, and storage device.

That was exactly the reason why I started to hate homies with a passion.
I was like:
"Whoa!THANKS A LOT FOR THAT VOLITION!" [starts to kill every homie that gets close when I have g/c notoriety] And for who said that the point is be able to use them when we start a new game, Without the no damage upgrades , is WAY easier stay alive alone ,than have those idiots to babysit and at some point , see them start to try to kill you. But that's just my opinion.
If it bleeds, we can kill it.
