Because he's too busy writing clever and vicious insults for cancer patients or taking children's ice cream away. Perhaps he is tying antlers to his dog in anticipation of stealing Christmas or planning the next holocaust. I'm sure he'll get to you as soon as he has time;)

How can you justify producing a disk based version of the game that people can play without the original product for $15???? Have you ever in all history went to your local game store and bought a brand new game on release day for $15? Even the Gta episodes disk was $20 and it only had a few missions and no real improvements whatsoever. This expansion is talking about taking the game in a whole new direction. Absolute freedom with an open world and super powers. Maybe that doesn't appeal to you, that's your opinion, but why come here and try and trash it?

You are the king of trolls. Wear your crown proudly my good man, you've earned it.
Im not trolling, at all. I legitimately feel ripped off by THQ with SR3, I legitimately feel ripped off by THQ and Volition with the Season pass, and I legitimately do not feel that 30$ is at all a reasonable price, and I do not wish to support THQ with another 30$ on top of those things. I apologize for the gullible comment, which was a bit much I suppose. If youre okay with paying 30$ for this, then power to you, but I just cant do it. Again, if the price was more reasonable, Id be more excited and perhaps a bit more willing to support THQ, but, no. I can only hope that isnt the final retail price. DeathFactor why are you afraid to post on my DLC thread?
Im not. In fact, I have a post that I was going to make, but then I saw in another thread that it seemed you had already made up your mind, so I didnt think there was much point in posting it. Also I had already posted the DLCs I thought were worthwhile in it :V, my other post wouldve just gone into more detail.

To deathfactor. I still believe you're being overly negative in the face of an obvious attempt by volition to set things right (although not for free) but I have to respect your answer. You kept it very civil and it does make sense. I disagree but that's your opinion so you have a right. I apologise for my comments.

So I'm not seeing where this is complicated.
Its not. Im just not gullible enough to pay 30$ for an expansion to a game whose DLCs thus far have been quite poor and have made me feel entirely ripped off. Ill likely pick it up for about 10$ used, that way Ill save a good bit of money and ensure THQ doesnt get any more of my money.
I might be a little more lenient with it if it ends up going for like 15 bucks or so, but 30 is just ridiculous.
Honestly, this is a tough call. I think that people are lining up on one side of the "is it worth it or is it going to be overhyped, overpriced Crap?" debate and the thread is polarizing to both extremes. The fact of the matter is that I think we need more information...a lot more, before any of us can make a truly informed decision, and the extremists on both sides may be missing this obvious point. By the way? I pre-ordered the game on the PS3 and got a ton of free stuff (season pass, etc.) and I loved it so much that a few weeks later, I downloaded it on Steam when they had a special fot 30 bucks! So, for me, at least with one port, the price of this DLC expansion IS THE PRICE OF THE FULL GAME. Personally, I think this puts things into perspective because, let's face it, $30.00 is a lot of money for an expansion pack. However, here is where the "we need more information" premise comes into play. Because, as of yet, I have read or heard NOTHING that tells us what kind of content we are being offered for our thirty bucks! I mean, this could be basically a WHOLE NEW GAME for all we know, but built on the same engine, being discounted because, well the engine is already there! Put another way, this could be this generation's "Vice City" and "San Andreas" in that they were complete games but on the same engine as GTA III. If that's the case, then I believe that it is more than worth it! I mean, if buying this expansion means starting a brand new game ALL OVER AGAIN with minimal weapons, little or no Respect and money, and having to buy all the properties and do all the diversions and activities, then wouldn't it be worth it? I think so! However, what if it is nothing but an expansion pack, in other words, if instead of being what VC and SA was to GTA III, it was what BoGT and TLaD was to GTA IV, then it may be overpriced and overhyped. But my point is that AT THIS TIME, we have no way of knowing. If we are going to judge by what Volition has released in DLC now, including the three alleged "mission packs" and all the little packs that were, in my sincere opinion, WAY OVERPRICED, then things don't look good. But maybe Volition is really listening to us and wants to win us back? Who knows? Only time will tell. :)

How can you justify producing a disk based version of the game that people can play without the original product for $15????
How can you justify it at 30$ when other companies with better histories with DLC have produced similar products for 10-20$? It doesnt have to be 15$, but 30 is just way too much to me, especially how poorly I felt SR3s DLCs were. I was okay with spending 30$ on the Undead nightmare collection because I knew it added and changed much to both the single and multiplayer aspects of the game, included several, smaller DLC packs, and that Rockstar had made some pretty good DLCs at that point. Have you ever in all history went to your local game store and bought a brand new game on release day for $15?
Were not talking about brand new games here, though. Were talking about standalone expansions, and these have typically ranged between 10-20$. I think 15-20$ would be a much more reasonable price, especially considering how much DLC there already is for SR3, and theres more to come still. Even the Gta episodes disk was $20 and it only had a few missions and no real improvements whatsoever.
...You know, I didnt like GTA IV much, but if you really think that The Lost and the Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony didnt add or change much, then I really suggest you do some more research into them. Maybe that doesn't appeal to you, that's your opinion, but why come here and try and trash it?
Im not trashing the DLC itself, in fact, I quite liked the super powers in TWC. If they were available to you outside of the missions, Id probably have to say it would be one of the best DLCs for SR3, as much as I hated the rest of it. I just cant see it being worth 30$, and I base this off my experiences with SR3, its DLCs, and similar products made by other companies.
