The only thing I am trying to illustrate here is that everyone talks so cut and dry, like the devs need to listen to them and people who agree with them. My point is that I believe that there are a ton of people who agree with both our divergent positions, NOT to say that you are wrong and I am right.

I respect your opinion, i'm just hoping the devs can atleast make both side of the SR fans happy. :)

Then you guys announced ETD. That sorta got me interested because i wanted to see if you guys ACUTALLY improved your ****. But that was cancelled for the next game. **** this series now. Why DON'T you guys listen to your old fans? Why the **** you gotta cater to the kids that want purple dildos, and super powers? It's not ****ing funny at all, its like a ****ing Date Movie type of parody trying too hard. If you wanted to be funny, why not do satire? THAT'S why all the ****ing REAL fans left to the other site, you guys are a ****ing joke now. **** Volition, **** THQ, and **** all the new **** that wanted super powers, THIS ISN'T ****ING SPIDER MAN, IT IS A CRIME BASED GAME!!!

Id have to agree. Even though you are yellin and stuff, everything you say is true...

This is legit how a series falls down, I've seen it before, and if SR4 doesnt shape up, I'll see it again. If its just gonna be pushed a bunch of little things like oohh a new car, oooh a new gun, ooohh 2x the sex jokes, thats not gonna improve the series, and people are gonna get bored and not buy it. Making 2x something that isnt good doesnt make it any better

I really HATE to be saying that. Cause Saints Row 2 was one of the best games, that people really liked, and I loved it

And its not even like they have to do a total revamping of everything. They have the controls down, the physics down, the map and character constructors, most of technical stuff is done and all of that stuff good (besides the blurr and laggyness at times, but i can deal), they just need to change the story/humor/characters and add competative multiplayer back and get rid of the stereotypical characters (cause that gets annoying), and honestly it will be good. Add a beautiful location and it will be great.

You can have all the new guns, cars, etc., that stuff is petty compared to the storyline/atmosphere, which greatly lacked in Saints Row 3. SR3 just felt like it was written with a formula, and they think they can make it better by following the formula of what they think people will like, and it just... i dont need to say any more

Im with you guys. Saints Row 1 was fantastic, great music, gameplay, single player and exciting multiplayer.

Saints row 2 single player was good, but they really messed up on the Multiplayer.

They really fecked up with SRTT and that why i didnt buy it. FFS why are they turning this series into childish stupidity. SR1+SR2 had loads of outfits and guns, SRTT didnt and they are charging customer for every new gun or outfit.

They promised fans and amazing sinlge player with SRTT and they never got it. 40 weeks of DLC, they never got it. Now they have cancelled the latest DLC. THQ and Volition have wrecked this series and had there customers eyes out with DLC.

THQ and Volition have ignored customers for too long, now it will bite them in the backside.

Rockstar have turned Max Payne into what SRTT should have been. Watch and weep Volition.

These are perfectly acceptable opinions, but they are just that, opinions! Many of the fans LOVE the over-the-top. So in my opinion:

Many people want SR4 to continue the insanity of SR3 and take it up a notch...or ten.

What made me enjoy Saints Row: The Third was precisely how crazy, over-the-top, creative and funny it was. Leave that - and all you get is a GTA clone.

Saints Row has finally abandoned the shadow of GTA-clone and has become its own thing; and you guys want it to return a GTA-clone with a bit of humour in it.

No, thanks. If Sainta Row 4 isn't as insane as SR:TT, I'm not going to buy it.

SR3 had quite a bit of political satire, the way Stag was used for example was kind of a shot at how the government abuses military power.  Then there were was the core story, all about how a ruthless street gang managed to become popular and have their likeness trademarked and turned into a huge franchise, that was a shot at how the masses are ****es when it comes to celebrity worship.  The game was far more clever than some give it credit for.  However, if SR4 does go in the same direction, although the humor was witty in SR3, the storyline was strung together very loosely, so SR4 hopefully will have a tighter story, and it wouldn't hurt if they went a bit more highbrow with the political satire. 

I agree that SR4 needs to have more customization options, a bigger map, and it could use some cool interior locaitons, but when it comes to the theme, I prefer they stick with the political satire, celebrity worship humor, and sci fi bits.

The dildo bat however.. eh.. I preferred the chainsaw...
