The plauge of SRTT is spreading to Saint Row 4 as enter the dominatrix will be part of it, this has to stop. Saints Row 2 was a perfect blend of Fun and seriousness, but now this game is turning for the worst :( . I'm worried for what it may become...

Agreed i also what Saints Row to go back to what made SR2 great but THQ and Volition have their own ideas of what they what SR to be you have to remember they make SR to how they wont i mean no one wanted SRTT to be like that right?

In Saints Row 2, they focused on the story, and this goofyness came second.

Now in Saints Row 3, they focused on the goofyness, and the story came second.

It revolves around the goofyness instead of the story. Thats the REAL issue. The game was advertised as being the game with the big purple dildo, and thats all that it ****ing is.

That's why everyone hates it so ****ing much.

Sadly our words have fallen on deaf ears. Just like the people who begged for multiplayer, they where ignored just like we will be ignored..

You know you guys don't have to play if you don't like the game.

I know

Its just the fact that they had something great that everyone liked (Saints Row 2), then they made something not so great that not too many people liked (Saints Row 3), and now it sounds like they are planning to continue down the path of making a sequel to the not so great game. Everyone cares because they want what was once a great game back

And if we dont say anything, Voilition will start thinking that people actually liked the game for longer than a day

This reminds me of EXACTLY what happened to the Socom franchise when Socom 3 came out:
First Socom (the original) was released, and all around, it was a pretty good game. People really enjoyed playing it.
Then Socom II came out. It was the best game out there. It was the Sains Row 2 of its generation. It was the most played online ps2 game. It was ps2's halo.
Then Socom 3 came out. They made the maps 5x as big and 32 player. It was an absolute mess; a total catastrophe.

Just ask anyone who has played Socom II and they will know exactly what I'm talking about.

This is what happened to socom (and you can apply this to saints row as well sadly Cry):
Release first game, success, release a second game
Release second game, which is built off the first, and improves everything about it.
Release third game, completely different from first 2 games, no one likes it
All the rest of the games released are just builds off the third game

This sr2 commercial is the reason i own a ps3 and why i started gaming in the first place. Just watching it sent chills up my back and i ain't gonna lie tears came from my eyes (i don't care if you make fun of me) remembering those great moments from sr2.

I dont blame you, Saints Row 2 was one of a kind. It was a work of art. Truly remarkable, and also got me back into gaming

I feel like Volition thinks theyre doing the right thing because they got a bunch of people to buy it and high reviews from critics, but they are failing to see where these ratings and sales came from:
Sales for Saints Row 3 - They had a huge fanbase from Saints Row 2. Everyone was all into the series, and were willing to buy the third title without even watching the trailer
High ratings - The critics want to be correct on their judgement of how successful a game is. Not how good the game actually is. They knew tons of people were ready to buy Saints Row 3, because of the huge fan base from Sains Row 2 ready to so quickly shell out cash for its sequel. There was no way they could go wrong with giving SR3 high ratings, because they already knew that the game would sell

What happened? Saints Row 3 launched. A bunch of Saints Row 2 fans bought it, because Saints Row 2 was their favorite game. But they soon found out, its nothing like Saints Row 2. Its not even like its part of the series.

Now Voilition thinks that Saints Row 3 was a success because of all the sales and high ratings, while in actuality, people did not like the game as much as the numbers show.

What will happen now is, they will continue making games like Saints Row 3, because thats what they think people like. While its really just a franchise living off its name. All the new fans are just kids who saw their older brothers playing Saints Row and thought it was cool. So now its just living off its name without actual, die-hard fans. That is, unless, of course, they make a change back to Saints Row 2 style.

This is just the science of videogame franchises in action.

Please Voilition, I'm not against you, I just really dont want to see this series continue down the wrong path

I really hope that they will bring the series back to the roots like saints row 2 considering it is still one of my favorite games but with enter the dominatrix i doubt they are going to because it started as dlc for sr3
