"The Unlockable Pack gives access to all unlockable items, upgrades and bonuses that weren't chosen during normal gameplay. Now you can have it all!" Just found out about this on Steam. So it wasn't a rumor after all? Or did I just somehow not notice this before?
How does this work, exactly? After you finish the storyline, you get all the other bonuses? Does it affect stuff like the Morningstar HQ appearing blown up if you originally chose to keep it?

It was always just a rumored dlc pack, one a few sites even claimed would never happen and I started to believe them.
As far as I know, it just allows the player to unlock both bonuses on the missions that have two choices. For example, on the mission where you can give Oleg the gas and get zombie homies or give the mayor the gas and get swat homies, you can now have both.
If that's all this pack does, its about as useless as the cheats dlc pack. I mean I can defend the Genki girls pack, the cars are fun to use and customize, I can even defend the bloodsucker pack because it comes in handly early in a new game before unlocking the health upgrades. But a pack that just unlocks goodies I've used numerous times already, eh.
But as I've said in the past, this small dlc pack thing is the future. Those who don't believe me, just check steam and look at all of the Max Payne 3 dlc packs, Rockstar is charging 2-3 dollars just for maps. I mean back in the day, games like Doom 2 and DN3d, the players made their own maps, or game publishers gave them out for free, but Rockstar is charging for them. They're even charging a buck for a pill bottle? Then there's Sleeping Dogs which just came out this week and they already have two small dlc packs for 2 dollars a pop, one just gives the player points so they could get an early advantage in the game, kind of like the vip bonuses the bloodsucker pack has but without a new animation, then there's the 80's clothing pack which isn't a horrible deal but seeing as how it came out a day or two after the game, its totally disc locked content.
For the record, I'm not complaining. The game publishers are merely adapting to survive, if they all remained stagnant and didn't come up with new ways to turn a profit, piracy and the weak economy would hurt them more than they are already.

Yeah. Just feels kinda silly to pay to have access to stuff I could just get during normal gameplay (although storywise I prefer always getting Killbane's mask, so it's still a little tempting). Maybe if it came with an extra goodie or two, but nope. (OT, but don't even get me started on Max Payne 3, haha. I'm a huge fan of the original two.)

I can't judge Max Payne 3 gameplay wise because I refuse to buy it due to how how large it is. I heard it's over 20 gigs because of the textures but Skyrim has gorgeous graphics and it's around 6 gigs and has a huge map, so what the hell is going on with Max Payne 3? It just sounds like they bloated things down just as badly as they did with GTA IV. But the first two Max games are pretty damn entertaining, although the second did go a bit overboard with the cutscenes.
As for the Killbane mask, I just found out yesterday that if my player wears it and taunts an npc, they burst into flames. For some reason I just assumed it was purely an aesthetic thing, even though the helmet from Gangsta's turns npc's into followers by complimenting them while wearing it. So it makes me wonder if any of the other masks do anything special.

Although technically you can unlock everything just by playing the game and earning the rewards, you would need to maintain 2 separate game saves and keep track of the rewards you have taken and not taken. It's impossible to get all of the rewards on a single game save even with glitching and exploits, unless you are on the PC version and have a mod/hack for it.
For those that play on consoles it's definitely worth it. Also if you start a new game you get most of those rewards unlocked right from the start of Mission 3 (when you unlock the first crib) and the flying vehicles after mission 5 (when you unlock the helipad). That is a lot of content unlocked for you early game, WAY more than many of the other DLCs, plus it does not block your ability to get Achivements/Trophies.

Actually I saw your thread and downloaded the pack last night on PSN.
Since I didn't see any "official" announcement I have you to thank for the notification! :)

thank you, and your welcome they need 1 more pack and this game is complete the pack should include the apc's, of mourning starand the deckers i didnt see any for the loucdors fix the statue, and open doors to buildings we where in during missions and to philips building i thougt it was a new crib? and the saints chopperss and he weapons like the guns from from gansters in space and energy drink power i think thats all were missing! they dont really need the vichles' if we could custamize our own vheicles just have all the logos we could custimize our own apc or tank and label it with what we want like the saints, the mourninstar, or genki bowl apc rember the logos in saints row 2 for out tshirts we need that back, plus add it to the rim jobs so we can use them on cars, trucks what if we could add sirens and lights to any vihicle and the hose on the fire truck could spit out water, crap, or use as machine gun maybe they can use this idea in the next game

I also got the pack - I'm a PC gamer but the convenience of having all the good stuff in one save won me over - and while I love trying out items I didn't get earlier, it's annoying how you get all of them right away. I would have preferred that you get the unlocks when you actually get to the part where you choose them. I wonder if it would be possible for Volition to make one more DLC pack, one that would unlock outfits that already are in the game but that you can't get without glitches or modding... Stuff like the Nyte Blayde and Trail Blazing outfits and so on.

Perhaps maybe even the SWAT outfit...fat chance of that happening.
