She’s playing Saints Row IV, that’s what. Ash. Anthony. Papa Burch. Now available as homies. Who better to back the Boss than the Saints’ biggest fans? Would you kindly buy this pack?

Paying money for NPC homies again? Really?

My reaction exactly!

Look, I am without a doubt the biggest SR3 and SR IV fan on this forum and have been with this series since its inception in in 2006. But I have to say that in my opinion, most of these DLC packs coming out are completely gameplay-useless. I don't get it. Are people actually buying these packs?

Don't get me wrong, I am all for supporting Volition in their SR efforts. And I bought the SR3 DLC packs that had gameplay additions in them, such as the Moneyshot (I got free with the guide) the Season Pass, the Bloodsucker Pack. Hell, I even bought the Penthouse Pet pack so I could have Penthouse Pets as part of my gang customizing.

But all these packs Volition and Deep Silver are coming out with for SR IV are really not appealling to me at all. You know what? They have the right to create any packs they want and charge money for them. This is capitalism, after all, so I am not saying they are doing anything wrong. But isn't there a way to add useful things to the game if you are going to charge small amounts of money to each pack?

At least with the Unlockable Pack in SR3 you got all the choices you missed AND more importantly, it increased dramatically the amount of hour hourly income in the game. Useful or subsequent playthroughs. I love that pack.

Sorry, I don't mean to rant here. Like I said, its their game, they can do whatever they like, but so far, other than the Season Pass (because it has missions) and the pre order bonus (because I would have pre ordered anyway), the ONLY SR IV pack I have is the Explosive Combat Pack. Why? Because it adds gameplay.

Okay lol rant over. ;)

I know, and I bought that one because it is useful. I mistyped it as the Explosive Combat Pack by accident, though, which was actually a SR3 DLC. lol

Hopefully they come with some snappy patter and ribald humor to go along with their super powered, gun-toting selves. It seems like they made Ash a bit more..substantial..up top.

You can never have enough guns...That's what my Daddy always said.

I came upon finding this dlc on steam because i check frequently on prices and whats new with saints row but this dlc at first was a mystery until i read this forum. but  nah i love saints row series but when it comes to dlc that doesn't really appeal to add to the  game .i mean if it was a missions pack and add those homies then i would buy it its just i am not much of a fan when it comes to a homie pack with no story on how those   characters joined you and the saints  and stuff its like saying all of a sudden i put dan vogul or some other characters from saints row or something and put it in a pack it just no fun if you don't  have a little story .like how etd dlc it gave a little story how you got zimos and josh birk and diffrent homies and stuff .but this is a  new thing for volition  but i might give it a shot when it is on sale or something because thats when i buy dlc latly. i mean i am not the type of person to judge because the saints row games and there dlc have been asome but this is the first time i am kinda  saying like every one  else is saying this dlc is not my cup of tea. this is just my opinion i mean i could be wrong though if anybody bought it i would like to hear  if they actually put a story for those homies in the game because by what i been reading and stuff it looks like it justs adds them.sorry for my bad grammer i tried my best
